4 . Notes on SUP and trekking routes:

On the morning of the first day, we will paddle approximately 4km in Ngòi Hoa Bay. Depending on the time of year, we may paddle downwind or slightly against the wind. However, since this is a narrow and sheltered bay, the water surface is usually quite calm.
Before starting, the guide will instruct on paddling techniques, safety precautions, and the route. Participants must wear life jackets and foot leashes (leashes) at all times. For those paddling SUP for the first time, it’s advisable not to stand on the SUP immediately from the starting point. After paddling about 1-2 km, if feeling comfortable and confident with the water flow, participants can then start standing while paddling.
While paddling on the lake, be mindful of avoiding obstacles such as tree branches, rocks, etc. Keep close to the shore and watch out for motorboats navigating the lake. We will have escort boats accompanying us throughout the paddling session. If you prefer to use the paddle to row the boat, please inform the guide.
If you are a strong swimmer with extensive paddling experience, you may choose to remove the life jacket and secure it on the SUP, but absolutely do not remove the foot leash.
On the second day, we will trek for about 20-25 minutes along small trails through the peaceful villages. The path is not difficult but requires wearing sports shoes or trekking sandals (avoid flip-flops).

5 . Food & Drinks:
Meals such as lunch on the boat and at the glamping site are quite diverse and feature many “local flavors of the Muong ethnic group” such as grilled fish, grilled pork, stir-fried vegetables, boiled dishes, etc. Breakfast will be chicken congee or vegetable instant noodles with egg.
If you have dietary restrictions or preferences (e.g., vegetarian or vegan), please inform the UA management in advance for appropriate meal preparations. If your special dietary needs cannot be met (due to health, medical, or religious reasons), we suggest you bring your own food.
Drinking water will be provided fully onboard and during paddling. Umove Adventure encourages customers to minimize the use of single-use plastic and nylon products. Therefore, we recommend bringing a reusable water bottle to refill from the large water container provided by us.
Alcoholic beverages are not permitted during SUP, kayaking, or trekking activities. Alcoholic drinks and soft drinks are not included in the meals.
6. Environmental Protection:

Umove Adventure supports and applies Leave No Trace principles in its outdoor tours and activities. We also encourage customers and partners to adhere to Leave No Trace principles when traveling in outdoor environments. Learn more about Leave No Trace principles here.

To reduce the use of single-use plastic bottles, Umove Adventure recommends each traveler prepare a 1L water bottle for daily water refills. During the tour, travelers must follow instructions and regulations regarding environmental protection at the destination.

7. Safety & Health Advisory:

If you have heart disease or joint issues (knees, ankles, shoulders, etc.), consult a doctor before deciding to join the trip. Guides will carry basic first aid kits. If you have specific health concerns requiring medication, please bring your own medications.

In all cases, if you enter the water for swimming, you must wear a life jacket.
